No actual body shop wants to do paint jobs anymore. They want insurance work. I have a niece whose dad is a great auto painter. I have a 96 2 door Tahoe that needs zero body work. I offered him 6 grand to give me a quality paint job. I haven’t gotten a response back. Not all body shops, I have no interest in insurance work at all. To many whores chasing nickels and having to play to many dishonest games. Again you may be in the neighborhood of a good paint job for the price range that you mention, but anyone worth using would have to put hands on it to know.
