Chelsea (Shelby County).

Wife is craving fried catfish. Me too, now she mentioned it.
Suggestions other than Fish Market or Full Moon BBQ?

Get hooked up with Stalekracker running old propane tanks to catch catfish to fry!

I should have adjusted my post. Some restaurants have catfish that's pretty good. So I'll take those suggestions too.
Full Moon and Fish Market are where we normally go.
Just trying to find a new place around our area.

Old School is our preference. The Ark in Pell City is probably closest to us. It's usually decent.
But old school joints aren't nearly as prevalent as in the past.

The last couple times I had catfish and Jim at Nicks it was surprisingly good. Maybe not best I ever had, but it was a competent catfish plate.

went to catfish cabin in athens for the first time in 15 years. last time it was our anniversary and we got rebar stuck through the tire in the parking lot. This time it was actually pretty good priced and alot of food. The downsides were soggy catfish and mostly pure static blasting over the radio, I mentioned to the waitress that they needed to tune in the station and she said I know it's like that. Yea if they could fix those two issues it would be a real good restaurant.

You may be thinking of the Catfish House in Millbrook? They are good, just be sure to check their hours before heading that way.
