My cucumbers are out of control. Getting 5-7 gallons a day right now. Squash and Zucchini are loading up like crazy. Roma and celebrity tomatoes are ripening finally. Cream peas are vining like crazy and should put flowers on next week. Eggplants and Marconi peppers are loading up right now. Sweet potato slips are ready to be pulled and planted as soon as it dries up enough. 3rd planting of sweet corn is putting out silks. Potatoes and snap beans did good. First planting of okra was crap so I’ll replant when it dries. Also gonna plant purple hulls and black eyes when I’m able to bush hog and till in the corn stalks from the first 2 corn patches. And not to mention all this rain really made me a beautiful crop of grass in some spots of the garden. Dang, I don't know how you find the time to keep up with all that! What variety of cream pea are you growing? I tried some Mississippi cream peas a couple years ago, but they were a pain to shell. I have since went to zipper peas, but they don't taste as good as the Mississippi creams I plant the Mississippi cream but I let them dry. I then pass em through my sheller. I will plant a couple rows of zippers also.

Beauregard is a very common variety planted around here commercially. I wanted to order some Orleans but they are out of stock everywhere. Orleans, Beauregard and Covington are the most popular here. We have to keep and eye on em here when they get to about 80-90 days old. They get real big real fast here. I planted Georgia jet last year, and they did well, verry sweet after curing

Squash, cucumbers, okras doing good. Eggplant not so much. Better bush tomatoes are doing good lots of green tomatoes on them right now, Better boy not so much, growing ok and flowering but not many tomatoes.

I typically won't see Eggplant till mid July into August. Have 3 plants going. Look healthy with blooms.

I am going to have to get a sheller. What brand do you recommend? I like zipper peas, but those Mississippi creams are fine eating.

I have 2 of the Taylor Lil Pea shellers. . When I retire and decide to grow to sell, I’m going to look for one of the bigger drum shellers.

Picked our 1st ripe big boy tomato tonight with a several others hopefully being ready in the next day or two.
I apologize for bragging, but we have some company coming over this weekend for grilled hamburgers and these tomatoes will be the "star" of the burgers.

Just got done planting 12 rows of sweet corn and 4 rows of purple hulls. Going to plant some more zippers and okra tomorrow. And probably a few rows of black eyes.

Mine is looking great but this sandy loam soil doesn't hold water very long. Had to water it this morning. Hopefully, we'll get some rain next week

Squash is getting hot and dry. Corn too. Maters are loaded. Lost one plant to blithe and one is showing the signs now. Melons are coming and peppers are abundant. We have a bunny that has taken up residence here. I think it has hit the peas hard. That rabbit will see the business end of the 22 soon.

Serious question-How to you tell the difference between a male squash bloom and a female squash bloom. I don’t think I have ever heard of this.
My squash has been doing extremely well. We have made several quarts of pickled squash from the abundance we have. Cucumbers are not doing so well. Okra is really coming on. My tomatoes are not worth a flip. I planted 60 so we could can tomatoe juice this year and I won’t get my money back. I am moving my tomatoes to another area in July to see if I can get back on track. Last 2 years the tomatoes haven’t done anything but die out on me.
I can't stand a thief.
