It worked out pretty well the other way too, it was just alot cheaper. From the american revaluation to ww1 how many over seas attacks was america involed in? How many times were we attacked? Maybe we should rethink our motto!

In what branch did you serve and what war did you fight….serious question ?

The markets like this tweet from Trump

Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening. Discussions and final points have been, in both concept and great detail, approved by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others. The Naval Blockade will remain in full force and effect until this Transaction is finalized — Time and place of the signing to be announced shortly. DONALD J. TRUMP
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Literally like 53 odd times since the start of this. Its important for people to realize we are not anywhere close to the end of this thing. Iran has gone from survival to ambition. We are at the end of the beginning of this. Strap in kids. Its gunna be a long bumpy and expensive ride.

I honestly don't think it is ever going to be the same and/or end. There really is no end. Iran will control that waterway and there really isnt a damn thing anyone can do about it.

What we have just witnessed is the high water mark of American power projection and imperialism. We have been exposed as a paper tiger and Trumps frantic tweets and statements are just bold face lies, the world sees this. Its super embarrassing for the United States. This whole thing is literally an unmitigated worldwide disaster that has irrevocably damaged our reputation and has given Iran a permanent seat at the table of world powers.

Worse for us - this will be looked back on as the moment that fast tracked the death of the petro-dollar and the end of being able to run the dollar on the printing press and unlimited fiscal budget to infinity. Change is coming for us, not in a good way. Look at the bond markets. US Treasurys are no longer AAA rated. Inflation is here. Trouble is brewing, Sorry to say it, and Im not unpatriotic by admitting it either..

Who knows who he’s talking to. Some Iranian “leadership “ has denied these reports to NBC

Sounds about right. I figure we have heard that said once every 2-3 days since this started. But, market's up, oil is down. Filled my truck up this morning at 3.40/gal which is the lowest price I've seen in about 30 days. Still, $100 fill ups suck. Should be $60-$70.

I honestly think the biggest problem is that there are 3-4 different groups all claiming to be "in control" and all negotiating with different groups of intermediaries, on their own behalf, without any input or agreement from the other factions, that say they are in control. It's a cluster because after the top 70 or so guys, that were jointly running the country in a semi-cohesive group, were blown up in meetings or in their homes, nobody really wants to fully say that they run the country and they absolutely refuse to take full control of things, for fear that they will be taken out in the next round of bombing when a deal is not reached. Might just have to kill them all and start over from scratch.

That’s the issue and communicating by courier. No way those in charge are taking phone calls or directly. I’d imagine it’s a layered messaging system thru personal security

I’m not sure I’d say vast but yep there are some that are conspiracy theorist on everything and then there some whom choose a fe where a there.

Usually conspiracies crop up when irrational discussions start happening.
Social platforms are cesspool for this kind of stuff

The Psychological Link: Shared Traits vs. IllnessPsychological research reveals that while conspiracy beliefs do not equal psychosis, they do strongly correlate with certain cognitive styles and subclinical personality traits:

Epistemic Mistrust: The strongest predictor is a fundamental mistrust of institutions and authority figures, rather than a clinical break from reality.

Subclinical Paranoia: People who adopt conspiracy theories often score higher in subthreshold suspiciousness, which is an everyday personality trait, not a clinical persecutory delusion.

Schizotypal Traits: Features like eccentricity, magical thinking, and hyperactive pattern detection (seeing meaningful connections in random events) make individuals more receptive to alternative narratives.

Hyperactive Agency Detection: An evolutionary tendency to assume a deliberate agent is behind complex or frightening world events, rather than accepting that things happen by random chance

Every time I think the markets will look at verifiable facts they revert back to the tweets. Its amazing, if not pure proof that there is no limit to human stupidity.

Looks like Trump's deal was imaginary.
BREAKING: Iran's Foreign Ministry directly rejects Trump's new claim that "everyone in Iran has approved the deal," including the Supreme Leader, saying no one has accepted it, and "no agreement has been reached," per Fars.

Any agreement requires the US to "accept every demand" from Iran, including that it won't surrender enriched uranium or make nuclear concessions, that the Strait of Hormuz remains permanently under Iranian management, and the transfer of $24 billion in frozen funds. Iran adds "if it were to yield under pressure, it would have done so a year ago" rather than after sustained US bombing.

The spokesperson also denied Trump's claim that the Strait of Hormuz would reopen on a deal signing, saying it "remains closed" under Iranian authority and "safe passage is not possible."

Appears to be the usual rhetoric to keep oil prices low and lowering
Funny how that works isn’t it
Can you imagine the phone calls and emails and texts that go out from OPEC and Lloyds when Trump does this knowing they don’t have the intel that he does and just keeps them guessing
