1,000 IRGC members and clerics need to be taken out, for every American soldier ever killed or wounded by the regime or any of its proxies. The United States will be hitting Iran (Whose Navy, Air Force, Radar, Anti Aircraft, and all other forms of Defense, together with most its offensive capability, are GONE!), VERY HARD TONIGHT. At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela, which is working out brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America.

I think he was "trying to play fair" I guess and was trying to preserve that infrastructure for the new government that he was hopefully optimistic would take over. Maybe now that he realizes no one is there that is willing to take back the country, he might was well blow the place to smithereens. Even after a take over, any troops there would be in a exposed position. He's kind of like Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby now...
