Wife and I went up to Crossville Tennessee this past weekend for my son’s wedding. Only saw 4 chicken houses as we went up the country road way through South Pittsburgh to Dunlap and Crossville. But they had what looked to be 6’ chain link fence around the entire perimeter. I saw no grower signs like we see in bama. My guess is it’s to prevent wild hogs maybe from bringing diseases into them. Only a guess

A 3 foot fence would keep hogs out.

I was just guessing. I have no idea as I’ve never seen it here with chicken houses everywhere

Primary Breeder facility. Very secure. Very limited access. Shower in and out.

Yep. In that area it would be Aviagen or Hubbard Farms more than likely. Guessing Cobb Vantress may have some in that area as well.

It still is. It was my first time, my son has driven it a few years and said it was a nice drive and he was correct. I assume at one time that was the main route prior to the interstate as by all the old strip motels along the was

We've taken that route going to Knoxville, when Chattanooga was the usual parking lot. Nice drive.
