He says he is. Iran shot down an Apache Helo list night, the crew survived and were rescued.
"I have just been informed by our Great Military that last night the Iranians shot down one of our highly sophisticated Apache Helicopters while patrolling over the Strait of Hormuz. Happened last night and he’s just been informed? There was a lot of chatter about it last night. CENTCOM at first said it was an accident, not a shoot down. Now its a shoot-down. The cool thing about this event is that the crew survived and they were rescued with a water drone. I am sure he waited until the pilots were recovered and safe and maybe destroy the chopper and any of a number of other operational concerns before announcing to the world. Lots happening over there all the time that we aren't privy to and that we don't want the Iranians aware of either.

It appears more everyday that Trump has backed himself into a corner and doesn’t know what to do
It’s this or he’s so blinded by his ego when it comes to negotiating that he doesn’t see that any deal with Iran isn’t worth the paper it’s written on
I’m going to hold out hope that there is something in the works that leads to Irans capitulation
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself

There is also a floating story that is starting to make some noise about a plane from the UAE with several billion in cash being sent to Iran. Maybe thats some capitulation payments to get the oil flowing.
