It's been several years since I fished it and it was always late evening and into night when I did. Shakey heads and deep diving crank baits was what most folks used. The weekly tournaments were normally won with 18-22 lbs mostly football spots with a largemouth kicker. I've fished several friday nighters years ago. Saw where it took 30lbs or better more than once.
