It may actually wind up in SCOTUS. Not a jury of his peers . Before someone says no on SCOTUS , I'll tell ya a little, very true story. There is a Lawyer in Scottsboro , John Porter, who had a male client who had a all female jury . They ruled against him . They took it all the way to the SCOTUS and won because it wasn't a jury of his peers. It was a landmark case and is cited often. This case happened just before the OJ Simpson mess and was cited to get the trial moved out of Simi Valley . I'm shocked when striking the jury , there wasn't at least one black on the jury.

There were several in striking the jury. There were 3 blacks in the group. All 3 were local teachers and were struck because of potential sympathy issues with him being a student. One even said under oath during questioning, that she was not sure that she could vote to convict because "he is a student and just a child and looks too young to go to jail for the rest of his life." As a prosecutor, there's no way I would want a teacher on the jury. Personally, I think this is and has been the defense's plan. They know they have a loser of a case and he's going to be convicted. They objected to the prosecution striking the 3 teachers and with no blacks on the jury, it gives them automatic appeal and the ability to drag it out for years and years.

That shows how dumb they are . Had that teacher said she was absolutely un biased and would weigh the evidence and let it take her to a verdict, she might have gotten on the jury. Then she could have at minimum hung the jury.

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.
