It's an all white jury and I wonder if he is convicted if they will get it overturned on that issue? I'm sure there is a liberal judge somewhere, or several, that would love to help with that.

It's Collin County, the most conservative metro district in Texas. There may be protests if he is found guilty, but not the violent Minnesota type protests.

It's an all white jury and I wonder if he is convicted if they will get it overturned on that issue? I'm sure there is a liberal judge somewhere, or several, that would love to help with that. You can bet on it. There's precedence , one case being the one I referenced upstream.

All the riots I can remember in my lifetime involved the police. Unless Mr. Metcalf was a junior explorer, I don't see it happening. Stevie Wonder can see this was murder 8 days a week. There's always someone's crazy uncle running their mouth, they come in all colors. No cop = No riot. That's my verdict.

Its going to depend on the jury. The prosecution has made in my opinion a very solid case, but juries are not selected by IQ. My brother is a prosecutor.
He's told me you cannot predict how kneegrows on a jury will react to indisputable evidence. There are NO BLACKS on the jury. It may actually wind up in SCOTUS. Not a jury of his peers . Before someone says no on SCOTUS , I'll tell ya a little, very true story. There is a Lawyer in Scottsboro , John Porter, who had a male client who had a all female jury . They ruled against him . They took it all the way to the SCOTUS and won because it wasn't a jury of his peers. It was a landmark case and is cited often. This case happened just before the OJ Simpson mess and was cited to get the trial moved out of Simi Valley . I'm shocked when striking the jury , there wasn't at least one black on the jury. J.E.B. v. Alabama ex rel.T.B. There were several in striking the jury. There were 3 blacks in the group. All 3 were local teachers and were struck because of potential sympathy issues with him being a student. One even said under oath during questioning, that she was not sure that she could vote to convict because "he is a student and just a child and looks too young to go to jail for the rest of his life." As a prosecutor, there's no way I would want a teacher on the jury. Personally, I think this is and has been the defense's plan. They know they have a loser of a case and he's going to be convicted. They objected to the prosecution striking the 3 teachers and with no blacks on the jury, it gives them automatic appeal and the ability to drag it out for years and years. That shows how dumb they are . Had that teacher said she was absolutely un biased and would weigh the evidence and let it take her to a verdict, she might have gotten on the jury. Then she could have at minimum hung the jury.

There won't be any race riots in the south. They do that in places like LA and Seattle where they know the odds for severe legal repercussions and death are low. Don't bet on it. They'll bus people in from everywhere. I've seen it first hand. Thats when GOB's should follow said buses and refuse to let them off the bus.

As far as riots go, outside the courthouse there was a crowd of about 20-30 people and half of them were white folks with cameras. There were probably more cops standing around watching the nothing happen.

There won't be any riots...at least not large scale. The difference in this one and previous ones that caused riots is that the liberal media and liberal white people aren't on-board to stoke the fire
5 minutes after the verdict was announced, CNN's website had only a thumbnail pic/headline WAY down the page and weren't even discussing it on air. Even they can't come up with a halfway plausible narrative to support KA

Not many people outside the courthouse but a few really crazy ones! Even the white guy with the flag shirt on! Why try to argue with them! Yeah, I think some folks think they're doing the noble thing by showing up to "counter-protest" but the best thing that can be done in cases like these is just ignore them and not give them the attention they crave. There aren't many "protestors"...not like some of the past ones that turned into full blown riots. These are just the fringe lunatics and they should be ignored entirely. They'd get bored without TV cameras there and go home
