One of the coolest birds I ever saw was a large one that we called a Rabbit hawk, with what look like a 3-4 foot wingspan. Never seen one that large since. Seems when a farmer from out of state moved in nearby most birds disappeared including the quail. Folks usually kept the small hawks numbers down. All predators are bad on chickens, even in a pen, a neighbor once said. You may could make bank training a hawk to catch moles. Keep them pictures coming.
