I had a doe that knew what a fat man in a tree stand looked like. She spread that knowledge to others. Didn't matter where I shifted to, she could identify me. The others weren't as good as her, but they learned and could also find me and my BIL more than once. They'd blow and change direction.

I eventually setup a dummy in my tree stand about 6' off the ground.

Then setup on the ground where I thought they'd approach. Busted her while blowing at the decoy. Got another the same way next season. Had to move the decoy to make that happen.


Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.
