I just got home from being handed my lunch by the smartest beaver that ever lived. I have caught 12 out of this creek but he had built back today. I moved the traps further out in deeper water and put dive sticks over them. He aint like a deer his travel pattern is limited. I may have to set up on him with a light but I was wore out when I got everything done on another farm.

Mature whitetail buck in the hardwood mountains. Oddly enough, Groundhogs can be tough if they've been shot at.

That's a fact 2 dogs. I have 5 traps out on a place right now. I think he left town. Can't find his hole though on this property.

I had a doe that knew what a fat man in a tree stand looked like. She spread that knowledge to others. Didn't matter where I shifted to, she could identify me. The others weren't as good as her, but they learned and could also find me and my BIL more than once. They'd blow and change direction.

I eventually setup a dummy in my tree stand about 6' off the ground.

Then setup on the ground where I thought they'd approach. Busted her while blowing at the decoy. Got another the same way next season. Had to move the decoy to make that happen.

There used to be an old bad hog down the road. We called him Josey Wales because he left dead dogs wherever he went. He killed around 5 dogs injured many more before a guy finely castrated him. It was a test hog for a lot of guys to measure there dogs by, it pissed a few off. me not so much
