If I asked you good calibers for deer hunting would you say “308, 30-06, 270Win, or 30-30” or would you say “308 or, 30-06 or, 270Win or, 30-30” I would say 308, 30-06, 270Win, 30-30 and the great 243 all using Cor-Lok

You guys can argue about it but this legislation is going nowhere. Red states will enact/uphold stringent voting laws, swing states will all depend on who is in power at the time, and blue states will let anyone with a pulse vote. Just how it’s going to be. If the Republicans can’t find the ability to pass legislation that is supported by 3/4 of the population while they have the house, judiciary, and presidency, then there is no point in hoping for change.

You guys really have selective hearing. I specifically mentioned about how that affects married women and how they have to jump thru hoops, in at least some of the iterations of the bill. It would require them to go thru processes of getting new birth certificates at least, because your birth cert has her maiden name and not her married name. If that costs money, it’s still a poll tax. I just looked it up to be sure, but all a married woman would have had to do was present a marriage license, along with her birth certificate, and her ID to register. She would not have had to go thru any additional “processes.” I thought you said you read the bill? This. My wife has voted since she was 18. Now all of a sudden, she has to requalify. This is BS. Voters didn't care about showing id, it was the new requirements, mostly for married women or those with state id's that were honored past elections. My wife called it the "Save White Christian Nationalists" Act. I don't think she is too far off in her assessment. If Tubbernuts is not charged for fraudulently voting in Florida while declaring he was an Alabama resident, then stop whining about it. Exactly. CD is hung up on the only mistake in my argument (made during the pauses on my late night Taco Bell run) and he’s hanging on to it like it’s all that’s stopping him from falling off a cliff. Boathead doesn’t realize non-citizens can get REAL ID’s too so that doesn’t work either or only works in some states. Getting a REAL ID is more arduous in some areas than a regular license. Now others are proving my point about voter suppression by saying we should take away 40% of the populations right to vote on the arbitrary grounds that they don’t own their house, but yet somehow all their income and state taxes don’t count for anything. “no taxation without representation.” Just an example but MAGA loves the 2nd amendment. You can’t even ban illegal Glock switches without being hit with “shall not be infringed” and think everyone should be able to have an RPG in the truck, and an Abrams tank in the garage, but it’s clear the whole rest of the constitution is “pick and choose what you like” (kinda like the Bible). do you believe that the Bible is the Word of God

If your wife is already registered to vote, why would she have to requalify? Here in Louisiana if you’re already registered to vote, you don’t have to do anything. Just show your ID like it has always been. Is it an Alabama thing?

Correct. Dead democrats have been voting in Alabama for the last 100+ years. That should be good news to a handful on here.

This issue is the only one that I think my current state, actually has a better grasp on than most other states. Our voter roles get purged on the regular.

Is there any proof of these dead voters? I tried to Google it. What I’ve found so far https://www.jacksonville.com/story/...ters-bused-alabama-election/15362776007/Research showed many cases of alleged voter fraud in Alabama came from satirical websites with made up facts. https://ballotpedia.org/Votes_cast_in_the_names_of_deceased_people“ The Heritage Foundation's Voter Fraud Database contained, as of December 2019, 19 cases since 1997 in which one or more individuals were found to have voted or attempted to vote in the name of a deceased voter. Cases of both in-person and absentee fraud were documented. Heritage states that its database contains a sampling of "election fraud cases from across the country, broken down by state, where individuals were either convicted of vote fraud, or where a judge overturned the results of an election."[5] Oh wow, 19.. definitely swung some elections. Doesn’t say the parties of the accused.” https://www.congress.gov/116/meeting/house/108824/documents/HHRG-116-JU00-20190129-SD020.pdfI see some cases here for Alabama. Quick scan shows most of those found and convicted were the candidates themselves trying to swing their election. I didn’t check the parties they ran on, for lack of time. A few impersonations but nothing about any dead people. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/alabama-doug-jones-ballots/Snopes affirm that the “12000 dead democrats” story ran on fake, clickbait websites with satirical disclaimers “ Both of these reports were false. They were nothing more than fabrications originating with two web sites belonging to a network of clickbait fake news outlets, bearing identical disclaimers identifying their content as fiction: Everything on this website is fiction. It is not a lie and it is not fake news because it is not real. If you believe that it is real, you should have your head examined. Any similarities between this site's pure fantasy and actual people, places, and events are purely coincidental and all images should be considered altered and satirical.” I literally just can’t find any source for this argument at all. I can say my search, especially the congressional document, affirms to me that most voter fraud will be committed by someone in the back room rather than voters themselves.

Dude, dead folks have been voting in Alabama elections since the late 1800's. The Democrat party controlled Alabama up until the 90's. The country made fun of us because were like California is today with Democrat voter fraud. News stories about it have been buried as standard practice for decades. I know people who would joke about doing it. I'm related to some of them. If you grew up in Montgomery working as a page on 11 Union Street in the 80's like I did you would know. Dead people voting was normal business back then. I overheard many politicians laughing and joking about how they found the votes needed. They found the names on headstones and paid folks to go vote accordingly. George Wallace kept a register of the recently dead and the districts they lived in his office. He would give the lists to the campaign managers of his preferred candidates.
