Any of you cunts done this yet?

Had mine done a week ago. All mine came back “NORMAL”. I assumed I’d have had something wrong g due to family history and the fact that I don’t treat my body like a temple. I also had the calcium test done and that one came back perfect. I reckon I could start smoking and drinking more now.

I've got to do the calcium test next week. I never heard of it before last week when I went to see a cardiologist for the first time.

It’s a cardiovascular disease & stroke risk screening. They can check many different things but you choose what tests you want done. I did carotid arteries, abdominal aortic aneurysm test, atrial fibrillation and peripheral arteries. It’s a money thing so you pick which “package” of testing you want done. I think mine was $180. Took bout 20 minutes once you check in. They travel from town to town and set up shop. Small peace of mind for $180

We have something like that at the local hospital. I like the calcium score.

I have only done the calcium scoring(15 years ago and last year) and it was not good. Hopefully the statins will keep things from being an issue.

I've got my first Calcium Score next week on the 10th. Curious about the outcome.

mine was zero which is perfect. i`m gonig to do a little searching to see if they can do a non-invasive test on the ole widow maker. i` haven`t been having issues and my blood work has always been pretty good but i`ve had some family members die in their 30`s from heart disease.

I had one done over a year ago. They gave me my money back because it was so bad. I quit taking statins and now feel better than I have in four years. I may fall over dead tomorrow but those things were killing me. One appendectomy and a good back pain doc I found has made a world of difference in my quality of life. I'm sure if I took that test they would just say you should be dead by now.

Look into lipoprotein a and apolipoprotien b testing. Neither are covered by insurance, but they are good indications of risk associated cardiovascular, etc..

We drove to Fairhope and I got my Calcium test today. Praise the Lord I scored a whopping Zero. 65 years old and that gives me hope. I didn't realize how concerned I was until she told me I got a Zero and I felt pretty relieved.

My cardiologist told me that if I scored a Zero he didn't need to see me again. The paperwork stated that If you score a Zero then your chance of cardiovascular issues are only about 5%.

We're going to keep living a healthy lifestyle, but we went straight to Ravenite Pizza in Fairhope and got pizza and beer to celebrate.
