The people of Albania are pretty upset about it and are calling it for what it is. The prime minister was trying to do the deal under the table for Kushner and the "investors". If it looks like what it is then it probably is just that. Happens all the time and everywhere, in the real estate development business. AL, FL, TX, NY, CA. Name your US state and there are probably hundreds of similar backdoor, under the table deals in the works right now. Even worse in foreign countries. They probably inquired about buying it and the PM said, I can make this happen and grease the skids for you. PM would've done the same for Bezos, Musk, Soros, Hollywood actors, a big REIT, a big publicly traded development company, anyone with name recognition and the money to pull it off. Happens all day, everyday, all over the world.
