Got some sunflowers popping up. It’s bad dry. Hopefully we get the rain we are forcasted.

I planted a couple rows of sunflowers two weeks ago and only a few are coming up. Its heavy clay soil that crusted over after the last heavy rain, so I don't have high hopes

Sprayed the corn in the duck fields and fertilized today. Hoping this rain will liven it up. Going to plant the rest Monday . Sprayed the other field today.

Well fertilized the duck fields today. Then did the dove field which is corn and sunflowers. Then sprayed and planted corn for deer. It's been a good day just now started raining

Well 7 inches of rain one duck farm is completely under water. Will have to replant. If this rain don't stop I am going to loose them all

Well we have passed 10 inches in 5 days. Duck fields are 3 foot under water. Fixing to get on sxs and go look at dove field

I think dove field will be ok. And possibly the deer corn it is on higher ground

Got good germination. Think the planter was not completely tuned in. Kinda spotty but it’ll do. Found a few arrowheads walking this evening

Brown top. 60-90 days before opener. Mature vs dried is the difference. Could spray with gly to speed the dry. I also cut and burn

I have had good luck with proso millet as well and the birds seem to love it. It's not as easy to grow as brown top and seems to be more susceptible to excessive rain.
