I’ve planted a little spot of sunflowers in the field at the house and need to spray them soon. All I can find is oz per acre for mixing instructions…this little spot is probably less than a fifth of an acre. I did find on the innerwebs to mix 1 oz/gallon for spot spraying. Will that also work for a hand sprayer for spraying the whole area? I have no experience with this herbicide, so any advice is appreciated.

Of course about 30 minutes after I sprayed, a thunderstorm popped up and it rained pretty hard for a little while. I hope the cleth had time to dry good on the grass so it will work…we shall see. Let’s say I accidentally put about 1/3 of an ounce per gallon over…is that gonna cause negative effect on the sunflowers???

Nope. You will be good. Calls for 1 hr till rain fast. Still is only targeting grasses. May not get the “best kill” situation but won’t harm your sunflowers. Plan to spray mine this weekend

Why would you plant sunflowers and then need to spray them soon?
