Dang Preach! Glad you’re ok and not seriously hurt. I can’t imagine rising down the dirt road and BOOM! Down in a gully. It’s been a mess on those county roads lately. Swveral places even the asphalt is eroding. Water is extremely damaging.
So, I guess you are cut off completely from your property? I hope they get that fixed asap. Yes, that's the main reason I can't plant. I could park at the crossing, fight my way through the briars and wade the creek, then walk nearly a mile to the house. I will do that eventually, but I don't feel up to it yet, and I still wouldn't have a way to get seed and fertilizer across the creek. The county says they will fix it, but have to get a new culvert and can't find one. I get the feeling it will be out for months. There is another way in from the back side over another hunting club, but it's washed out too right now. Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate it.

The county made a temporary repair to the road and I was able to get the chufas planted. Thanks for all the comments!
K bush, it's a 10' culvert, but I don't think it's more than 40' long. I suspect it being short is part of the reason it failed; the ends are too steep and didn't have enough rock on them. I didn't realize what a terrible flood we had about a week before my accident. Our pond overflowed and washed an old jonboat with a concrete anchor tied to it about 300 yds into the woods.
They are getting a new culvert so maybe it will be longer.
