Luckily Winchester is producing the el cheap version again which is still better than most. Hopefully the 22 mag soon.

Saw a 9422M up in Wetherford Tx for over 2K$

If they come out with a 22 mag, I'll definitely be getting one.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Several years ago I was eyeballing a Ruger 96-22 in a local establishment. It was priced somewhere near or at $300. The rifle was on teh rack for months and I wanted it BAD but wasn't gonna pay the asking price and they wouldn't budge. One Saturday I walked in and the rifle was gone. Tim asked if I was still interested in the 96-22 and I acknowledged. He said "Well here it is and a guy is gone to get money to buy it because he dropped it. It dinged the stock and broke the front sight off. I'll take $175 out the door for it". I paid the man. My intent all along was to hog the barrel channel out and replace the factory pencil barrel with a TacSol fluted/threaded 10-22 barrel. And that's how she is now. I had to cut an additional slot in the breech to accommodate the cartridge support in the 96 bolt but the Dremel took care of that. She's a quiet, squirrel killing machine now.

Shot/Zeroed the Browning BL22 today. 20 yd zero. Cheap CCI fac second ammo and Mini Mags same POA/POI. Perfect. Shakey semi-rest, and all (1-15 rds each group) about an inch, with called rounds exactly where I expected them to land based on sight pic.
