Anyone have it? Standard or Mini? How do you like it? How easy is it to transport and set up from different locations?

Had it for several years now and no complaints
I’ve only moved mine once when we moved to a new home about 15 miles from our original location but still in the same zip code and had no issues
Mine is the standard setup

I pocket carried one for several years. No complaints, I now carry a S&W CSX and like it because it’s the same size other than a little thicker grip and I get 12+1 capacity. The “Gun Tubers” gave it bad reviews because of a false reset issue, but mine doesn’t have it at all. I’ve put about 1k rounds of various ammo thru it with not one hiccup.

Now I'm really confused. You keep saying that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

RE Starlink- we set one up at our river house a couple of years ago. First ime we've had telephone reception and good television service in .....ever. Works great.

Their prices don't make any sense to me. A buddy in Dallas County pays $80 a month. I pay $110 at the house. At the shop, price went from $120 a month to $130. Doesn't make any sense. But it is the best there is for interwebs. I don't have the portable one.

I got the residential lowest 100mbs plan. It was $50 a month but just went up to $55.
I havent had any issues with speed or connection.

Initially the equipment was free and it was 39/month. It just went to 50 but their invoices don’t make sense

I have the standard at the house and the mini at the hunting camp. They are both fast and reliable, but the standard is the way to go for speed if you don't need portability.

I have the standard but they wouldn't give me the option to go with the lower priced plan. It was the highest price plan or nothing.

I wondered where my post went. lol. Obviously the wrong thread. On a side note, my Starlink was fine once I cut a few trees.

Same way with us at the cabin. It's great service, but our cost is $120 a month and that's the lowest price plan we get to choose from. I think it's the kind of relative pricing that all companies are going to. they know we don't have any other decent options up on the mountain way out in the sticks and so they are just saying, "$120 a month or take a hike."

I considered Starlink, but couldn't justify $130/month for up to 400 mbs service.

I just went to T-Mobile. I was a Verizon cellular customer for over 20 years and had been waiting on their 5G internet. We finally got Verizon 25mbs available, but that's slower then my current 50mbs DSL from the phone company monopoly.

I stopped by the Verizon store last Sunday afternoon to ask if they had any update on when the faster service would be available and the little tatted up blue haired, nose pierced gal had to have my address to tell me that there was already service, when I asked her what speed she said 25mbs, which I had already told her was all we had available. I asked her again when the higher speed would be available because T-Mobile already had 5g in my area and I'd spoken to several people who were very satisfied with it. I also explained that I had been with Verizon over 20 years and really wanted to stay with them instead of going to T-Mobile. She proceeds to say "you gotta do what you gotta do", so I did.

I went straight to the T-mobile kiosk at Sams and I switched everything over. Between the cost savings on my cellular plans, and cutting the cord for the ridiculously priced phone company DSL, I saved $175 a month.

I got a ridiculous amount of Visa cards for switching, $200 for each phone, and $200 for the internet, as well as a $150 and $25 card from Sams for switching. The Gateway came Wednesday and I plugged it up and it was rocking 426mbs.

I have also discovered that my phone has service in places that Verizon didn't, so I am very satisfied with T-Mobile. I have a 5 year price lock on my internet, and when I turn 55 next year my phone bill will be even less.

Wish you could get residential service and pause it like with their mobile service. Hate paying for full year when I only need 6 or 7 months.

I was a Verizon customer for many years as well. Switched to Straight Talk a couple of years ago because after my divorce I just saw no need in an expensive Flag Ship phone every few years. I don't live on my phone, so the basic smart phone fits my needs well.

I just purchased a new Galaxy A26 Thursday for $99. I purchase the plan with unlimited Hot Spot and use it for my home internet. Verizon owns Straight Talk, so I've never left them.

I live out in the country and have 5G at my home.

If you have no cell service or internet service starlink is hard to beat. We dropped ours when fiber became available. I notice no difference and it seems we had less outages with starlink. I wouldnt mind having the portable setup for camping.

Can the receiver / dish be mounted on the same pole as the Direct TV, ours is pointing South South West?
Do you have access to local channels?
