Summertown Metals may travel that far if you want to reach out to them. They have dozens of models that they build and they're in Hayden, AL.

A friend of mine had them build a barndominium and absolutely hates them. Of course a pole bar is simpler but he said the crew they used on his place was terrible. He ended up running them off and finishing a few things himself even though he had paid them for a completed job.

The true mark of a man is not how he conducts himself during times of prosperity, but how he conducts himself during times of adversity.

I have had Summertown build a pole barn for me. They tried to not put sides on it even though the quote and invoice that was fully paid clearly stated that sides were included. After two months, they finally conceded and finished it. I would absolutely NOT use them.

Thanks for the replies so far. It seems nowadays it’s hard to find someone who wants to work and does what they say they will.

I'm glad that the substandard work by Summertown Metals was brought out. Next year I will be doing a small build and had considered them since they're really close. Gotta rethink everything now.

Reading this thread makes me think I’m gonna just go with a metal pre-fab with a lean-to on either side.

These are nice. A friend of a friend in North Alabama built one not sure of the price. Slab,3-8ft wide roll up doors 1 walk in sprayed insulation. It’s nice.

Dylan Sallas from Deatsville built a polebarn about five years ago. Nice young man and hardworking. Don’t have a number for him but he should be easy to find.

Red iron or the same material used for carport canopies?

I have a patient who just today told me her SIL has started a business doing just this. By the looks of the pics he does good work. He knew, good, and hungry to do a good job. I’ll PM his info to you tomorrow. He’s in Prattville/Deatsville area too.
