If that badge is correct, that should be an LBZ duramax…an if it is…its probly the best year a duramax was ever made, and the first or second year of the 6spd Allison. The above is an l5p, they are very good engines too, but they have some common gremlins that are known, and some that are just inevitable across all brands due to emissions..the LBZ has none of that garbage and is an absolute unit..very fine machine.

I never sold this truck because Hank loved to ride in it. I sure do miss that big ol goofy dog.
Probably couldn’t get anything for it anyway having over 300K on it.

I’d like to get a response. I’d hate for someone to prove themselves a hypocrite.

I dont understand how that makes me a hypocrite. I didnt say there was anything wrong with a farmer or rancher, have a nice truck. I said they shouldnt be taking hand outs from the government to drive one. Someone posted you could go to fsa and usda website and see who gets what. Look it up, ive never taken a penny from them! And i qualify for a lot!

I’m still not understanding what a farmer having a dependable newer truck to conduct his daily business has to do with them accepting help to stay in business. Are you saying that a farmer that owns a more than likely paid off truck should sell it instead of accepting help from the government that has been robbing money from him his whole career?

Marsh, I see where you are going. Word of warning before you go down this rabbit hole. The wind is blowing hard and you're pissing straight into it. He's not going to understand your point and where you are going with this. Just laugh about it and move on.

Do you see where that truck is parked? Its at my other job. I have to work to pay for it. Thats what i do instead of using somebody elses stolen money to keep my business afloat. If you cant stay in business ( any business) without being supplemented by money you didnt earn, you should not be in business. Period! There was a time when people took pride in working hard and earning what they got. No more. Yall call me backwards, while you take up for some taking a free hand out, and talk down because i dont. Thats Backwards in my opinion. And the whole somebody else will get it, is a bad argument to me. Accepting stolen goods is a crime , unless you take it from the government!

I agree with you and align very closely on some things with you Backwards. Nobody should be given govt handouts period. People should take care of themselves. If you're too lazy to work, cant afford to take care of your own kids and continue to pop them out, then you should starve. Things were much better when the churches and community helped those in need versus the govt. Back then, people and churches would step up to help those in need. If you were being helped but refused to work, or continued to get knocked up and pop out additional children while your were being helped, or accepted the help and then showed up driving a brand new truck or car, the help went away and you were forced to stand on your own two feet. Now days, the govt rewards people for staying on welfare and there are zero audits or any consequences for those taking advantage of the system. No means testing, no drug testing. Nothing. Here's the free money. Take it and remember to vote democrat.

Honest question Cowboy, did you take the 100% bonus depreciation tax write-off when you bought that truck?????? Or did you fully refuse that govt tax handout and stimulus and tell your tax guy that you didnt want it included on your tax return?
