I like the 39 about as much as the 9422. The 39s' for the most part weren't chambered in 22 mag, other than a few of the straight stock 39m models(mounties). Seems like i remember that right. I'm sure one of those would bring several dollars. I've got a 39as with the so called lawyers wart or cross bolt safety. Some folks hate that, but not me. I don't think most that hate it really figure how to use it. Other than chambering a round, I don' leave it on safety. It's easy for your thumb to slip after chambering a live round & lowering the hammer if not ready to fire. The crossbolt safety completely stops this & I've known of 1 or 2 folks that have accidentally fired a lever gun in that process, thankfully nobody hurt because the gun was pointed in a safe direction. With that being said, anybody that hates a lever gun over that pesky "lawyers wart", I'll give you my number & I'll be happy to relieve you of it.😀
