I have a couple 9422 both in 22 magnum. I've killed a lot of stuff with the one (hogs, gobbler turkeys and various other critters).That is after it got stolen and returned many years ago . After I got it back in rough shape, I had it parkerized and fixed a crack in the laminated stock. The other is a real nice walnut stocked model with pretty good figure. That one an elderly friend gave it to me because I always admired the figure in the stock.
Has anyone looked at the newer Winchester Ranger? It looks a lot like a 9422. There are some plastic parts (barrel band and something else I don't remember). It's not a 9422, but it is steal and the bolt looks the same as the 9422. I liked it better than the Henery the little bit I've looked at them.
