The above North Star boomless and spot sprayer is what our club has used for years. We have a club owned one and I have a personal one. We have been using these two for over 8 years, I believe they spray a 15 ft path. Also has a hand sprayer that is great for sides of the roads.
If you clean it out good after using, they will last a long time.
You can also buy parts if needed. At this cost, with multiple years service, it is worth the cost.

It sits on the back of an ATV or will sit in the bed of one and still spray great. You can buy one for a little more that you pull, but this one will do the job for less.

Depends on how wide you want your swath. Pull behinds are great for going in one direction and a wide swath with a boom. I wanted something that was the width of my UTV for easy driving and wouldn't be the cost of a new boomless spray rig. I got a black rain spray nozzle and its been great for me.

Northstar and Moultrie at our club. 25 gallons on each, both boomless sprayers. Each have wands too. Zero complaints.

I have a North Star also. Been a good one.

I have a golf cart with a dump bed on it. I have a 15 gal tank, 25 gallon would probably fit. I have a boomless nozzle that's mounted on a piece of pvc pipe that mounts on the back of the bed rail. I can spray 1 acre per tank in less than 10 minutes. I've had it for years

I’ve sprayed hundreds of acres with a 25 gal Northstar sprayer and a 7 nozzle boom out of the bed of my truck. Spray till it runs out then drive back to camp and refill it. I’ve had the same sprayer for at least 10 years and had to replace the pump once.

All decent, just rinse out really good. Put it indoors for, the winter.

Bought a Northstar 25 gallon boomless a year ago, absolutely do not recommend. Dont waste your money.

I have the Fimco 45 gallon UTV model with the 3 nozzle boom that is the width of my SxS and fits in the bed. Great setup. Covers probably 30ft with all nozzles going.

I’ve been in the market for one as well but for my tractor, a 3pt model or a wide stanced pulled behind. The Fimco’s at TSC don’t have great reviews though. Probably the best reviewed one I’ve seen is a Master but it costs an extra $150 to have it shipped in, even if you ship to store, because it’s factory shipped. The pull behinds are cheaper but I’m afraid I’ll beat one up too bad if I’m not careful because the yard is a bit bumpy and there are some hills and ditches.

But regardless I’m ready to wage war on 5 acres of fire ants.

The North Star works. The boomless sprayer runs out a few feet from the middle of the tank and sprays a minimum of a 15 ft width. It has a switch control that runs up to the front of your atv and you can turn it on and off without even going to the tank.

We bought a used big plastic tank tank that holds about 300 gals, or more of water, with a hose out of the bottom, which we load on any truck and fill it up and it follows us to the fields and refills the spreader tanks. That way the sprayers can be filled many times without anyone having to go back for water. The used tanks normally cost less than $50 and will last a lifetime. I bought one for $25
Spraying green fields to kill grass or to spread fertilizer with this set up is a no brainer, So So simple. Just remember to wash the tank out and wash the hoses out at the end of the day and it will give you your money back many times over.

Be sure and use a 41% glyphosate weed killer. I buy Farm Works from Tractor Supply. You can buy other brands, even buy from Amazon. Just be sure to get at least 41 %. Normally comes in 2.5 gal containers. It goes a long ways

I had a great mini-boom sprayer but the tank was built like a milk jug. Lasted 3 months.
I’ll see if I can find the model. You could cut valves off and spray left/right/center/all.

Tank was garbage. Think it was 375.00 when I bought it.

I got a 25 gal one off amazon, and the tank split after a couple years. I bought another tank, it's a little to wide to fit on my 4 wheeler, so I used 4x4's to make feet, which makes it more top heavy. Then I have a spray bar I mount to the bumper. I seem to go thru the on of switches with regularity though. Works good for the most part.

Just the sprayer

I’ve got the 45 gallon Fimco from TSC. I’ve had minimal problems with it but Fimco has been really good to ship me replacement parts at no cost.

One thing to consider, those low profile tanks like the 45 gallon Fimco are a better setup than taller tanks like in 300gr’s picture. I rolled a ranger 800 crew with a 40 gallon round tank that was sitting on a homemade skid. That put the tank about 4” higher plus it was a cylindrical tank and already taller. Half full tank and when left front wheel dropped off in hog rooting over she went.

There are other brands than Fimco with the low profile tanks. I know Fimco also makes a 60 gallon.
