Yessir. Spacing for an orchard to maximize nut production is 30-35 feet. My oldest, which are Dunstans, are about 80 feet apart and struggle with pollination so I get very few filled out chestnuts. I’ve been planting my younger trees at 40-50’ in triangular patterns. Read up on proper site selection and adapt it to your land. Some places may be better than others for chestnuts vs any number of other trees with wildlife value. Will do. Thanks!
