Let's look into realistic measures to ensure politicians are upholding the will of the people. If it's found your taking money from a foreign government or doing insider trading you have to undergo an enema filled with Smokin Ed Curries pepper x mash every month your in office or get shot in the buttocks with a .25 acp every time your seen in public. Okay not realistic maybe but reckon we could get an FRT into an AR chambered in .25 acp? 'Murica!

Irish doing what you two do is what keeps couples together. Research and discussions whether it’s politics or religion and anything in between. To answer the question though very few people actually do their research on political candidates or issues.

What percentage of folks do you think actually research candidates before voting? This is why if you are in a race with multiple candidates, you hope your name is at the top of the list.

That is true and its been proven. Some states make it a random draw for top of the list because it was found that alphabetical listing always sides towards the top of the alphabet winning in among unknown candidates.

Watched videos on all the candidates yesterday. Did the same and sent them to my wife so she knew who to vote for. Not every candidate we voted for won either. But thats why we vote.
Its not the will to win but the will to prepare to win!

The kicker is that research usually turns up 2 things. Negative stuff they say about each other, which might be true or it might not. And also you find the stuff they say they are going to change or the things they stand for. Which also may or may not be true. I tend to think they will all say anything to get the vote and then they will say anything to stay elected as long as possible and climb the ladder to self wealth. They are just salesmen. And I’ve been in sales. Again... All Boho and I can do is the best we can and that's what we did. The alternative is to just not go vote and instead spend a bunch of time on the internet bitching to everyone about the people we never researched or voted for in the first place. Agree 100%. We handled our civic duty the same way yesterday.

I didn't vote in the local races because I knew nothing about the candidates.
I was glad to see a couple of results yesterday in the Public Utility Boards. Both incumbents got defeated in a big way which tells me that some people actually did do a little research on the candidates.

I at least want an intelligent, thoughtful and pragmatic person in there, even if they don't agree with me on everything. This is the way it should be.

Both of us are right. I decided to quit fussing about individuals and just lump our government all into one pile. It’s way more efficient 😂

I would suggest #1 in the ribs but I've got too much arm side run to get velo up and it's just worlds hottest pepper extract and a .25 they'll be fine mostly

Most folks are party lever pullers and never think twice about the specific candidates. Thats why its become a Uniparty clown show in this country. Well, i mean it was a primary...had to go one side of the lever or the other. The wife and I did a fair amount of research before voting. Helps that she's lived in cullman for 35yrs and knows practically everyone.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

If the candidates are unknown then folks will vote for the "safe" sounding name. Joe Smith has a better chance than Amari Cozalinstoink

I was PISSED that Tubby knew he was a shew in for the R's. He spent zero money on marketing, that I've seen. Clearly being a household name means something! And his opponent, McFeeter, who is a Libertarian in a Republican suit, didn't mudsling but sued him for not meeting the requirements for a Gubernatorial candidate but somehow they did not stick. And besides that, McFeeter really sounds like he would have been a great candidate and not a Rhino politician. Fresh blood is needed in our state from top to bottom and 70 something year olds are NOT fresh blood! Sorry guys, I'm old too and I can say that. We voted for as many decent candidates as we saw fit. This is the first time we've ever done this much extensive research... IF a majority had done as much as we had, things would look different today.

I’m just being honest here… I don’t have the margin to put time and effort into it. If I felt like it would make a difference for me and my family who was elected in a primary I would make room for it but I don’t feel like it matters. They are all the same in my opinion.

I'm done voting, I just don't give a crap anymore. And a majority of conservative guys my age (30's) feel the same way. I'm glad I've realized at a fairly young age that none of it matters. Every 2/4 years I hear about the world ending, but guess what, I still make damn good money, I go home to a smoking hot wife in a really nice house, with two beautiful children, I still get to go shoot stuff whenever I feel like it, and I can drive thirty minutes in any direction and can be on thousands of acres of beautiful public land (bUt We'Re GoNnA lOsE aLl tHaT!!!!!) shut up, no we aren't. It just don't mean a damn anymore, stay off the internet, turn off Fox News, and go live your life.
