It seems weird to call 1901 or 1920 modern baseball to me. By 1920 a lot of changes had happen in baseball, all teams had fields with fences , the "dead ball era" ended , lot of rules were adopted and a feller named George Herman " Babe" Ruth came along and changed the game forever. Yeah I understand why they say it was modern back then. But the game today is light years away from where it was then. If you watch some old film of a game from then modern definitely doesn’t come to mind 😂
