Guy Hunt. 😂. Had an Uncle who worked in his administration. Said he was the dumbest human he had ever met Guy Hunt was Baptist preacher who was running as a Republican with virtually zero chance of winning until Baxley and Graddick went overboard on the ugly campaign. He was supposed to be the obligatory place holder. That campaign in the Dem primary got so ugly and the Democrat party got so fractured and divided the voters basically said they had enough. The people elected a Republican Governor in Alabama for the first time in 100+ years. After Guy Hunt became governor, the Dems pretty much did everything they could to set him up for failure and eventually caught him on a technicality and put him in jail. Poor fellar didn't stand a chance in that pit full of vipers and criminals.
