I have three I use regularly. But two days ago. It didn’t matter.
I have a 100% deet bens spray. Skin so soft. No natz. And vanilla spray. My go to at that.
Well. I fished Saturday evening and them flounders was chewing. I had every spray I have on in the boat.
I was probably glowing and it didn’t matter. They have come a custom to it or just a fluke. But. I need to try something else or add to arsenal.
What yall got.

Try one of the concoctions made with Geraniums .(Geraniol). I had it working pretty good a few years back.
100% Deet is pretty hard on the skin. Good luck !

Years ago I went way down in this holler to an old cypress pond fishing. Bugs were awful there. I coated myself down in that stuff, and it seemed to work well. On the way home driving, I leaned my leg against the plastic door panel of my Tahoe. Melted the plastic and my leg stuck to it. Can't be good for you, but neither is malaria or tick disease.

So, your stuff was like the older gent use to say, "Skeeter dope". Cause they seem to not really care if it had deet, skeeters would still find the ball sack!😅 If it is the biting black knats around gulf those things are horrible. Maybe smoke would work, like a big cloud of some kind? Maybe oil and diesel on rags in a metal pot or dried dung? I have seen skeeters and knats so bad I would care less how bad it smells if it works?

I like Zone. Works well, even for bull gnats.

There is a hand cleaner at NAPA auto parts that all of my crews here in Dothan swear by.
I believe it is called Macs waterless hand cleaner.
We used to stock all of the no natz and any other gnat repellant ever made in our store room and now it is this stuff as requested by everyone that works outside with the gnats everyday.
You have to reapply every so often but it works.
