Ball was an inch foul when he picked it up imo. 3rd baseman made the right call trying to let it go foul, he had no play otherwise

I think it was a foul ball when he picked it up. There isn’t but about a nickel sized spot that touches the ground. It doesn’t matter how much touches the ground. If any part of the ball is over any part of the foul line when the ball stops moving or is touched by a defender it is a fair ball.
