So my dad has been sick for a while now. Has parkinsons. We found out last week he has a very aggressive form of CLL. The only way to diagnose it is a bone marrow biopsy. It basically hid in his parkinsons, all the symptoms mimic the advancement of parkinsons.

I spoke to my dad twice while he was ill, but still functioning, not for very long, but got 2 short phone calls with him. Usually we talk for an hour 1 time a week.

As I was sitting around the dinner table last night with my oldest, I told him, I won't ever get to have a conversation with my dad again.

Thankfully he is home, hospice is coming, he has less than a month to live. I would be surprised if he makes it that long. He mumbles now, its hard to figure out what he is saying. It has been truly awful to watch him decline.

Why do we seem to forget that time with someone is fleeting, until time runs out?

Pick up the phone and call someone you love. Go visit them. You just don't know when time runs out. If I could turn back time, I would have made some more phone calls to my dad.
