The physics required for alien life (if it existed) to reach here, due to space and time, are mind blowing. Many of the distant stars that are viewed through the high tech scopes like Hubble, no longer exist, because the light that brings us the image proceeds the actual star by many millions of years.
It's cramps my brain Unless... After millions of year of civilization they have figured out a way to overcome physics as we underdeveloped humans understand it. True. But if that were the case, why would said civilization care to mess with us by flying orbs around the sky or abducting people to give them a rectal exam ? I would think they would have better things to do for entertainment. Have you seen some of the TV shows that people watch for entertainment? If I was a bored highly advanced civilization, what better entertainment would it be than watching a bunch of dumbass humans doing goofy shit? It would be like us watching cat videos. I've considered that scenerio. But after while I'd think they would get just get bored and shoot us with their planet destroying ray gun.
