these people are all crazy or all buyers are damn fools. I'm shopping kawasaki mule sx, honda pioneer 520 and polaris ranger 500. MSRP is only a suggestion. They're worse than car dealers and used car salesmen. Only reasonable quote was in Tennessee and they added about $1500 in extended warranty to the price. I've already lost my enthusiasm about getting a new ride

Try to find almost new from private party so you aren't paying dealer destination and prep fees plus taxes.

I do my best to buy from my local dealer. That said, I am not a fan of them. So I reached out to a couple for pricing. Bought one well under MSRP last year. Dealer had paperwork ready and I was there less than five minutes. I would buy from that dealer and that salesman again with no question. Add on top of that that he was not a goofball salesman, but only asked what I wanted and didn’t try to upsell me anything. He also had some pretty fine bucks hanging up in his office from the local area.

So don’t be too discouraged, just have to find the right one.

I ride past a sales place up here in TN all the time and I see them out on display and think how nice that one would be but I never stop because I know it will just hurt my feelings.

Don't be in a hurry. It's not the best time to buy anything right now. I bought my Ranger 500 during the week between Christmas and New Year. Car dealers, boat dealers and powersport dealers will cut a good deal then. If it's worth waiting to save 1500 to 2000 then do it. If not, at least scan the internet thoroughly for a while and find the best deal you can. I live on Sand Mountain and it was worth driving to Slidell for the deal I got.

It’s gotten ridiculous cause folks are paying it
Know a guy bought several north stars and they’re sweet but they are 40 plus.
Know another guy bought one he put 33s in it.

Must be nice to write a check for something like that lol

Since we're on SxS , bout how much is a new, midrange , 4 seat machine?

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

They like to add 25% in BS charges. I got a 1000 ranger from bama buggies last year for 9999, but was 13100 out the door with roof and windshield. With that said I like it.

My uncle bought one down around mobile last year and saved a bunch of money over any other dealer ship in the Birmingham area

Bought a new ATV last year. Checked prices at about five places and Ward’s in Troy was the best. Also if you own a farm, you can deduct a portion of the purchase price in year one from your taxes. Mine was 60%. I checked with my accountant twice and he confirmed. Don’t take tax advice from me, so check yourself. I also bought a work model and not a $30,000 version with after market tires and a stereo you can hear three countries over.

Ramey Motors Powersports in Purvis MS. If I were buying another tomorrow I would call them.

Call before going over. Purvis and that area got hit hard with tornadoes, last night. Brookhaven area, too…again.
I bought a bare-bones Pioneer 1000-5 for $15k out the door from Brookhaven Honda, right before Covid idiocracy took hold
. At the time, they beat everybody else by $2-3k…. one of the top volume dealers in the SE, aka, best prices to move units…lots! Add-ons is another story.
*I checked prices once inventory started slowly trickling back in to dealerships and the same 1000-5 was $20k (Rincons and Rubicons were $10!). Nuts! …or so I thought, until NorthStar, etc HVAC SxS for $40k+!!!

It’s insanity. Same with boats and trucks, but people continue to pay it because they’re willing to go into massive debt for what’s essentially a status symbol
