I had 12ac of very mature pines clear cut and 12ac of young pines thinned. I did not make enough to buy a tractor and barely enough to replant, but I improved my property considerably for wildlife which was my goal, so I count it as a win. I'm replanting the clear cut in Long Leaf. You can’t get anyone to even entertain 24 acres here regardless of what is on it. You’re very blessed. Nor here in Madison County. I've got 40-ish pre-WWII pines I can't reach around, hundreds of 16"+ ash, loads of money tree oaks ... nobody will show any interest.
