I broadcast mine with my 4 wheeler spreader. I would drag with a pine or cedar top after broadcasting and then leave it alone. It takes a long time for it to get going, but once it does, it's impressive growth. That is what I'm considering doing as well. I had planned to broadcast and then mow some thatch down over it, but I won't have my tractor for a couple more weeks and would love to get it spread this week ahead of the rain, if it materializes. I think I'm going to give it shot.
