Yes. Seems to be the way a lot of them are done now and should give a higher sheer strength than attaching posts to the slab directly. Just a construction method. No structural advantage over attachment to the slab if done correctly. My only concern with putting the slab in after is the joint between the slab and the wall (how it is sealed).
