There are so many GREAT entries on this forum; but, I am curious what's everyone's ABSOLUTE favorite meal would be (I'm sure this has been discussed before).
Mine: Fried deer cube steak Mashed potatoes w/milk gravy Fried okra Pinto beans Buttermilk cornbread (in a cast iron skillet - and of course NO SUGAR)

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

The favorite meal that I actually cook on a regular basis is definitely fried deer meat with either homemade fries or mashed potatoes. Family favorite as well.
Favorite meal period, too hard to pick.

It varies some depending on mood, but blackened fresh Redfish that I caught myself is up there. Also, they taste just a little bit better when you catch them on a fly rod

All I have to do is watch back to back to back episodes of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on Youtube and I'm like, "I want that, and that, and that, and that, and that..."

Filet mignon, baked potato loaded, and a salad - my favorite. Next, I enjoy making and eating New Orleans Bar B Que shrimp. It's a special, beautiful and impressive dish and you sop up that butter mixture with delicious french bread... man, you can hurt yourself.
But I love all the Southern veggies, too... fried okra, squash casserole, collard greens, green beans cooked til they're unrecognizable, fresh field peas, country fried steak (which I might have cooked twice in my life) and gravy... These foods I grew up on but now are a treat.

Yeah, it's a hard decision to make, I love a lot of things that's listed. Growing up there were times when all we had was either fried deer meat, lima beans or boiled chicken and rice. I've eaten so much of it that I can go long periods of time before I eat deer meat. I'm in a much better place in life that I doubt I'll ever have to eat chicken and rice.
With that said, right now one of my favorites is my Birria tacos. I've never eaten anyone else's so right now mine are my favorite.
