So good I had a buddy get 1 lodged in his eye socket after graduation needless to say he was keeping an eye out for everyone after that.

Lots of shared memories up in here. One of my all time favorites was the walk to the Tom Thumb looking for bottles in the ditch knowing that the more we found, the more candy and Orange (or Grape) Nehi we’d go home eating.

Me and my cousins would have our big fireworks hurrah every year on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in my Grandparents front yard. Bottle rocket wars and Roman candles shooting at each other. Looking back at that it is a wonder that all of Us kids made it out of that without injury as we did that a good 10 years in a row.

Oh man! I forgot about the roman candles. Those were the best because you didn't have to time it to burn your target LOL

Does anybody remember when JC Penney used to sell guns and ammo? They had a full color ad in the paper every Sunday advertising Remington rifles and shotguns and if you were on a budget, you could pick up a Marlin 30-30 lever action for cheap!

I miss the days cop cars were slow, and eluding wasn't a felony. And radar detectors had a range of 4 miles.

I don't remember JC Penney selling guns, but I remember Western Auto selling guns and ammo. We used to buy our duck hunting shells (Peter's) there by the cases - growing up in Arkansas, we'd go through 5-6 cases a year for our family (about 6 of us hunted).
