I do not brag, but tomorrow I will be graduating from the University of Alabama with a Master's Degree in nursing. I will hopefully take my board certification to become a PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner). Nursing was a second career choice for me at age 40 and I decided to go back to school to become an NP. I have been a nurse in Behavioral Health for the last 15 years and I want to get out of the hospital setting and eventually move to private practice. I feel that many patients do not get the attention they deserve in an inpatient setting for anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, etc. I know some of y'all will need to see me🤣

Congrats. Nursing was my second career also but had no interest in continuing on in school. It takes a special kind of person to continue on with school after 45 and a family.👍
