I'm almost 62 and remember so many great things from when I was young:

Memories:
Milk being delivered to your front porch in glass bottles w/aluminum foil tops
Government cheese
Cashing in Coke bottles for a nickle
Rotary phones w/party lines
Leaded gas
Paper shotgun shells (kinda predated me, but if I remember correctly my first shells for my .410 were paper)
Government cheese
Getting a piece of bubble gum in a wrapper was a BIG thing
Using playing cards on your bike spokes w/clothes pin to make the "motor sound".
Building a fort in the woods
BB gun wars
Church socials with musical chairs for a treat

I'm sure there are more, but these popped into my mind.
