You may look at building a water catch system off your roof for watering.
$380 several months in a row you’ll pay for a system real quickly
If I didn't live in a neighborhood I would have a well for irrigation.

My water bill gets pricey in the summertime.

I'm on Central Elmore Water Authority in Elmore County. It runs about $35-40. Really goes up when the redhead starts watering her 5000 flowers. Up to $65. Redheads are expensive, I was told a firm No Return Policy on her. grin

Mine with trash included with $250-300/month from now through October while watering the yard. When I first laid 24 pallets of Emerald Zoysia in September of 2024 my bill was over $900/month for September and October until rain finally kicked in in November. Wish I could've seen my wife's face when she opened those bills!

People got more money than they know what to do with if they’re spending $100’s of dollars to water a yard.

Cheaper to water it than to re-sod the thing

Mine runs from $65.00 to $85.00 per month.

Just me, my wife, my dawg, stupid arse cat, and 28 head of cattle consume it each month.

So i like up rates online for a Lowndes County Water Authority and it initially pulled up Georgia. For their rates, you can use 3000 gains of water for $18.88 and $2.68/ 1000 after. For comparison, Lowndes County Alabama is $35.93 for 3000 gallons and $8.43/1000 above that.

Hell, my water bill was 1/3-1/4 of my power bill. Water isn't being produced. Electricity is. Power is being used 24/7 at my house. Water, probably less than an hour daily. Power company has much more expensive equipment. Higher salaries. Better benefits. Etc. Their costs are a hell of a lot more than my local water authority. It's not apples too apples, but i don't see why water should be anywhere near what they charge.

Daily rant. Thanks for listening.. lol

LCWA changed 10/25. Basic bill covered 3000 gallons. Now it only covers 2000 and the rate per 1000 after went up also.

I'll trade bills with you when the next ones come out. I had a break in my main line that I didn't discover for a few days. It's going to be bad. frown

LCWA automatically charges a water loss fee which is insurance for leaks. They don't tell you about it and I've known people to pay large bills due to a leak not knowing it was there. Not sure if you may have that or not
