I’m trying to find somewhere to rent a tractor attachment for limbing roads—something like a Lane Shark or anything similar that’ll handle overgrowth on roadsides and trails.
I’ve been looking around online but haven’t had much luck finding anything local. I’m located around the Birmingham area but can travel toward Jasper, Hamilton, or nearby if needed.
If anybody knows of a place that rents these or something comparable, I’d really appreciate it.

I think you need a continuous flow third function to run a lane shark. For that reason I've looked into getting a sickle mower type limb trimmer. Maybe one day.

Might be easier to find a small contractor with a mini-x with either a forestry mower or mulcher attachment.
There was a guy in Monroe Co with a pair of Kubotas, one had a rotating saw head and the second a grapple to clear the debris.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

Probably be just as cheap to hire it out by the time you make trips to retrieve and return the cutter and get it hooked up and break it

I don't know how much or how often you need to trim your roads, but one of those cages for the 330 gallon totes makes a great work basket on your tractor forks . Put someone in it with a pole saw . Remember to strap the cage to the forks with a good chain or ratchet strap .

Should look into spraying roadsides with herbicides after you get them cut back. It’s much less labor intensive.
