I think the shooter was just shooting up the place for attention. He didnt have any kind of realistic shot at the President.

Now it sounds like shooter may be alive and in custody. Trump to speak from Whitehouse. Event cancelled. Officer who was shot at by shooter was hit in his vest and is OK.

I’m honestly curious if conservatives can unite in a moment like this. Seriously. I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm curious how a shooter got inside the building with a weapon. That's a failure in planning by someone. Or they had inside help to access.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.
