Had a hard time getting out of bed this morning. Sitting in a little bottom behind the house. There are turkeys here but are the most non vocal birds I've ever seen. Wouldn't know they were in the area if I didn't have them on game cam

Silence this morning. I’m going to hang around until noon and see if I can get one to work

Quiet here too. Had a gobbler on camera strutting in a foodplot with two hens yesterday afternoon.

Great morning up until I pulled the trigger. All the shell did was make a pop sound and dust kicked up 1/2 way between me and the turkeys. Gobbled good in the tree flew down and all 3 gobbled and strutted straight to me

Heard one gobble twice off the property at daybreak. Went silent after that. Gave it a bit then came on into the grind.

Gobbled good in the tree flew down and all 3 gobbled and strutted straight to me That's a bad experience that I had happen to me once. Mine was a shell I had loaded myself using a flawed recipe. It called for a "seal" that had a hole in it that allowed the power to migrate away from the primer. Filling in the hole fixed the recipe, but my turkey still got away. I'd be having a conversation with Apex.

It was Apex ninja 20 gauge I hate that for you. But you should definitely let them know, they may be unaware that they have an issue

I had an Apex not go off opening Saturday. Needless to say it f#$king pissed me off. I’m going to send it to them and hopefully give me a free box. They should send me on a hunt and kill a turkey!

Cousin told me they sold him a new box and covered the cost of the 1 shell, but not all 5.
Not my story, so take it for what it’s worth. I could have misunderstood him, but I don’t think so.

IMO, Apex’s quality has really gone hill in the past several years. The last year I shot Apex 9s, I had a lot of flyers. Broken legs on every one and I wasn’t body shooting them. A good friend was having trouble patterning his son’s 20 gauge. Another friend took all his Apex shells, separated the shot from the buffer and hand loaded new shells with the TSS. We were shocked at how inconsistent the weights of the loads were. Virtually no buffer in most shells. So glad I leaned to hand load.
