My wife does all our weedeating. She got tired of having to get me to come crank the gas one so she went out and bought her own. Got a Ryobi battery powered weedeater and blower. Been using it for about 4 or 5 years and I don't hear any complaints. She has 3 batteries and I think it uses about 1 and 1/2 ever time she uses it and the blower. She said it "fits" her; if she is happy with it so am I.

I've got a question...
Has there ever been a string trimmer that fed good?
Seriously...

Seriously... I recently had to replace the head on my Stihl and it's been doing great, of course that's with factory wound line...I think a lot of it has to do with how you wind it back up on the spool, as to how good it will feed for me anyway. Weed eating sux ass to me... I am somewhat surprised and amazed that we have a few ladies in the crowd that would jump right on up the ass end of a weedeater and go at it though.... Well Done Guys...

Seriously... The echo speed feed is the industry standard now, about everyone has copied it, if you know how to use it..it is the easiest by far of any head ever

I got you beat, mine would rather spray than either of us weed eat.

I used to have a Kobalt. The really liked it until the charger died. It would have been nearly cheaper to buy a whole new set up than to just buy a charger. I just went back to gas after that. You can buy electric starters for a gas weed eater if the pull cord is the biggest problem

I’ve had a Skil 40v for about a month and so far it’s done everything it’s supposed to. Didn’t do a lot of research. My wife bought a 40v Skil leaf blower a couple years ago so I just got a weedeater that used the same battery.

I got my GF a EGO push mower and weed eater about 3 years back and it was the best thing I ever did for her. she LOVES them both and is actually excited to use them. I'm impressed with the power and battery life/ longevity. a bonus is you can get a straight shaft "commercial" style weed eater with a speed feed head.

We have the Makita, and it works well.
Has the trimmer head where you use a long piece of line, then just turn the cover button to wind it up.

My wife loves to weedeat, so I got her a Mikita brand 18 volt. Light weight and cuts good. The one I purchased was a refurbished one, but it has worked well for 2 years

Is it of the type you can just switch to a better trimmer head set-up for the same machine? Many are upgradeable.
