I am now a hater of this company. How they run their business is just plain evil. Hope you don't ever need them..........you are NOT in good hands.

(insert Bham Fred quote here) They can rot.

Rant over.

I have been telling people this for many years.

You're NOT in good hands with Allstate.

I worked in restoration for a few years after the 2011 tornado outbreak. Allstate was without a doubt the worst insurance carrier to work with on claims. Alfa was the best to work with on claims. State Farm USED to be good but they have turned into Allstate 2.0 from what I know from people still in the business.

Allstate will fuck you just because they can, and they usually do.

You have been warned.

Auto. Got ran over on I-65, totaled out my ride. Other driver has Allstate.

Poorly? Understatement of the century.

If you aren’t happy with what they are doing, call your insurance company and see if you can file a claim on your own insurance. Let them work it out with Allstate. Only problem is you might find out your own insurance will screw you too.

I have Alfa, and they have been good. This isn't their issue, its Allstate that I expect to pay. Not my insurance company.

A few years ago I was rear ended by a guy who had Allstate. They worked really hard to try and screw me. I filed a complaint with the DOI and got things squared away.

Tell them you intend to file a complaint with the State Insurance Commission if your claim isn't resolved to your satisfaction in the next 5 business days. I've handled 3 of my own claims and gotten everything I wanted each time. Feel free to PM me if you want to know everything I did to get a fair settlement.

I’m at that point. My wife has held me back long enough. We had a tornado come down the street and cause damage to numerous houses and most were insured with State Farm.

State Farm and Allstate are one and the same as far as I'm concerned. Both need to be shut down. This has been discussed at least a few times on this forum. Enough nobody should be considering doing business with them. Can't help what other folk do though.

It just shows that their enormous advertising budgets are paying off.

More commercials means less service IMO.

People shop for the absolute cheapest insurance they can find without ever actually reading the policy. Cheaper is great until it's time for a company to pay a claim. Then it's not so great.

Most people buy on price. Cheap is cheap. Buy the cheapest shoes...won't last. Buy the cheapest house...has issues. Buy the cheapest hot dog....made of bad ingredients. But a lot of people buy insurance simply on price.

I was about to post the same!

I've subrogated the last 2 claims where both of my children were rear-ended by state farm insured drivers and SF wanted to 1.) total a perfectly fine vehicle and way under pay and 2.) way under pay for damages

Farmer's, for what it's worth, handled both subrogations fairly expeditiously.

Allstate dropped me on my house insurance after the 2011 tornado outbreak and I didnt have damage but was in the "general area". Dealing with Alfa right no on a $20k dollar car repair and they have been great to deal with.
