This morning I made the coffee and went to sit in the back yard by the creek to "disconnect" from the world for a few minutes. As I sat there, I had the pleasure of watching a couple of small river otters playing. They were having a ball chasing each other around the rocks and sliding down the small falls. I hadn't seen them in quite a while so it made me feel good to get to watch them. I couldn't get any pics of them but they were playing in and around the pool against the rock bluff. There's no telling what you will get to watch down here. It's a blessing every time.

Nice view...

I love Otters. They must be my spirit animal, because they always look like they are having fun just being alive.

…unless they’re in your production catfish ponds, then the cool wears off quickly!

No doubt. Especially during spawning season. Them rascals will go from can to can and catch a brood cat, drag him on the hill and just eat the guts out. Bold ones will do that about every day until you kill them or they have wiped out the pond.

Very cool place to enjoy a quiet morning with a cup of coffee and man's best friend. There's a place very similar on the back side of my property, but it's not real easy to get to down in a deep hollow with a sketchy road going down there.

Thanks Cal! From the time we started the road in to doing dirt work, starting construction and moving in has been almost 5 years. It has been a lot of hard work as I have done all of the interior work myself on weekends and in the evenings. But.....I can look at it and see the fruits of my labor. We moved in Valentines Day.
