This is like saying trump is a conservative, it may be your opinion, but it is not factually correct!
Hmmm, since you mentioned that about President Trump, here's a little reading for you, courtesy of GROK. Enjoy grin

Here is a list of key conservative positions and policies that Donald Trump has taken and advanced during his time as President (primarily his first term from 2017–2021, with continuity into his second term starting in 2025). These align with traditional conservative priorities such as limited government, strong national security, traditional social values, free-market economics, and strict immigration enforcement.ee4611
Judicial Appointments and Rule of Law
Appointed over 230 federal judges, including three Supreme Court justices (Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett), shifting the Court to a 6-3 conservative majority. These appointees emphasized originalist and textualist interpretations of the Constitution.cc881a
Taxes and Economy
Signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (2017), which cut the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%, doubled the child tax credit, reduced individual income tax rates for most brackets, and aimed to stimulate economic growth through supply-side policies.
Advocated for further tax relief, including extensions of prior cuts, no taxes on tips/overtime/Social Security benefits (in later proposals), and deregulation to reduce burdens on businesses and families.48fe81
Deregulation
Implemented aggressive deregulation, eliminating multiple regulations for every new one (reportedly achieving an 8:1 or higher ratio in some periods). This included rolling back environmental rules, financial regulations, and Obama-era mandates to promote economic freedom and energy production.bae370
Immigration and Border Security
Prioritized strict enforcement against illegal immigration, including directing the construction/expansion of a physical border wall with Mexico, increasing interior enforcement and deportations of criminal illegal immigrants, and ending or restricting programs like DACA protections and "sanctuary" jurisdictions.
Imposed travel restrictions from certain high-risk countries and emphasized "America First" policies to protect American workers.ca1d1c
Abortion and Sanctity of Life
Appointed justices whose rulings contributed to the overturning of Roe v. Wade (via Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization in 2022).
Defunded Planned Parenthood in certain contexts, attended the March for Life (first sitting president to do so), and supported policies to restrict federal funding for abortions while promoting adoption incentives and protections for the unborn.9ed879
Energy and Environment
Promoted "energy dominance" by opening federal lands (e.g., ANWR) for drilling, approving pipelines like Keystone XL and Dakota Access, withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord, and repealing regulations like the Clean Power Plan seen as anti-coal and anti-fossil fuel.
Favored expanding domestic oil, gas, and coal production over stringent environmental mandates.276f1e
Healthcare
Attempted to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), successfully eliminating the individual mandate penalty.
Focused on market-oriented reforms, opioid crisis response (e.g., grants for treatment and reducing prescriptions), and opposing government expansion in healthcare.f72c0c
National Security and Foreign Policy
Increased military spending and emphasized "peace through strength."
Took a hard line against adversaries (e.g., withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal, pressuring NATO allies on defense spending, confronting China on trade/IP theft, and designating groups like the Taliban or cartels for targeted action).
Brokered the Abraham Accords (normalizing Israel-Arab relations) and moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem.86164d
Second Amendment and Crime
Supported gun rights by opposing new federal restrictions and appointing judges favorable to Second Amendment interpretations.
Signed the First Step Act for criminal justice reform (bipartisan, with conservative elements like reducing recidivism through work programs) while emphasizing law and order.9c29ea
Religious Liberty and Cultural Issues
Issued executive actions and supported policies protecting religious liberty, including conscience protections for faith-based organizations and military chaplains.
Opposed certain expansions of LGBTQ+ policies in areas like military service and education where they conflicted with traditional conservative views.1e9270
Other Areas
Advocated "Buy American, Hire American" for trade and procurement.
Pushed for school choice and reforms in education to reduce federal overreach.
In his second term (ongoing as of 2026), continued emphasis on border security/mass deportations, unleashing American energy, tax extensions/cuts, government efficiency reforms (e.g., via DOGE initiatives), and protecting religious liberty while rolling back certain diversity/equity programs.7db31b
Trump's approach often blended traditional conservative policies with populist elements (e.g., protectionist trade measures like tariffs). Many actions were achieved via executive orders, regulatory changes, or judicial appointments rather than solely through legislation. Outcomes varied due to congressional dynamics, court challenges, and external events like the COVID-19 pandemic. For the most current developments in his second term, official White House priorities highlight securing borders, energy production, economic growth, and public safety.

What does it feel like thinking you know everything and are right about everything ( Narcissism)? Condescending about most everything but can’t see it even when looking in the mirror? Asking for a friend?
Every comment I made on this thread (which by the way is titled blockade, so if that doesn’t interest someone they can keep scrolling) was tongue in cheek.
What does it feel like to take a dam forum so seriously?
That’s the problem with yall Trump cultists. You can’t look in the mirror and admit you were wrong about him, I can. I was wrong

I never put my hope in any Peesident to begin with. In fact, I voted DeSantis in the primaries. But that's neither here or there, because he's also JUST A MAN. DJT is our current President, and there is no Trump Cultist talk that I've seen. Just support for some things he's done right, and also criticism for what he's done wrong.

I think you are trying to win an argument no one is having.

This appears to clear things up.

Fox News: You said hundreds of super tankers are headed to the Gulf of America to buy oil and gas from the US. What can you tell us about that?

Trump: Well, I can tell you that it used to be called the Gulf of Mexico. Now it's called the Gulf of America because of me. One of my little sidelines. People are so happy. I must tell you, I was thinking about calling it the Gulf of Trump.

They showed a long line headed outbof the Straight to us .

Yeh, they gotta get oil from somewhere so they are coming here for the moment. Its still not going to decrease the price at the pump. I went and topped off my tanks today. $3.95-$3.99 here in Luverne. It will likely be over $4.00 tomorrow.
Could be worse, reports out of California showing $9.00+ in some places.

It will be interesting to see if Iran shoots at our boats if they are in the strait. Unless the predicted TACO comes before 10:00 EST tomorrow we might find out.

*US TO BEGIN HORMUZ BLOCKADE APRIL 13 AT 10 A.M. ET: CENTCOM

*US TO BLOCKADE SHIPS ENTERING OR EXITING IRANIAN PORTS: CENTCOM

*BLOCKADE TO BE ENFORCED IMPARTIALLY AGAINST VESSELS: CENTCOM

So we aren’t blocking ships from passing, just from going to Iranian ports? Am I reading that correctly? That would sure be better

I just checked AAA, Those random spots with absurd prices are basically those Beverly Hills neighborhoods where none of would be caught unless we were doing male prostitute work. The California avg is still $5.89. The total US avg is $4.12. $3.86 for Alabama but I'm not seeing that here.
I'm not sure how often AAA updates but here is their map. https://gasprices.aaa.com/

Not sure. Reports are sketchy. But Iran has their side of the strait and Oman has their side. We may only be blockading one side or the other or the entire thing.

As expected. Crude oil jumped at the global market open, up $8 over $104.
I wonder if we will get a mood changing tweet before the US markets open in the morning?

Iran claims they mined the main channel and normal shipping lanes in the straight. That's what the toll deal is about , now the ships passing must travel in their waters. I don't understand how we would let that happen after the war started . Are the Iranians lying about the mines?

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

Like I said in another post. Thats how mines work. Nobody wants to find out the hard way if they lied or not.
